Announcing the Official Launch of Detachment Parenting

With only 3 days left before the official launch of my first e-book, Detachment Parenting: 33 Ways to Keep Your Cool When Kids Melt Down, there’s a buzz of excitement in the air. And (yes!) I have a checklist of last-minute tasks to accomplish. I feel a little like the scientists at NASA counting down to launch day.

3, 2, 1…. Tuesday, November 13th, is the big event!

Why write a book called Detachment Parenting, you ask?

Because parenthood is emotionally intense.

It’s easy to get lost in your own feelings and lose sight of kids’ concerns.

Detachment Parenting offers frazzled parents immediate relief from emotional overwhelm. Readers get tips for dialing down their own emotional reactions, so they can stay focused on kids’ needs. They learn how to talk with kids when emotions run high, and how to help them understand and manage their own moods. And they’ll find lots of great ways to create and maintain a healthy emotional climate at home.

I wrote Detachment Parenting because I believe we are most successful as parents when we interact with our kids in a composed and compassionate way. That’s the kind of parent I want to be for my kids. How about you?
